very rare, gas lamp pendant with three hanging holes for chain up top, c 1870 by grafenthal in germany, with three children waving from the balloon basket...meant as a match holder for lighting the lamp, it hung below and likely had a child on swing under it as well...usually the swing kids  survive but these balloons not, as the bulb shape is so fragile. i bought it for dollhouse 1:10 but would rather it find its way to an art nouveau gas lamp.
