WW 2- Viet Nam era U.S. Navy Captain’s dress white uniform with trousers, all ribbons and rare bullion aiguillettes in both full dress and undress. Full 4 cord denoting an aide to a full Admiral, Secretary of the Navy, Vice President or to denote that the wearer is a Naval Attache. These are original, older issues in metallic bullion, likely silver gilt, not the modern synthetic style.

The uniform is named and dated, but not researched. Based on on the ribbons, which span from before WW2, through the late 1960’s, but do not show service in Korea or Viet Nam, I’m assuming Captain Kelly was likely part of the diplomatic corps. Certainly bears more research.

I am starting the process of disposing of a 50+ year old collection of mostly American and British uniforms, insignia and equipment. Much of what is currently listed came from a closed theatre group, so condition is all over the map, and some may have alterations. Priced accordingly.

As I get through literally hundreds of items, I will be getting to the museum grade materials. The vast majority is WW1-Vietnam, with some a bit newer. If you collect a specific branch, unit or period and are looking for specific items, let me know and I will take a look. No WW2 German, so don’t even ask.
