A 1945 Triumph 3HW project for restoration
mostly complete with the original items
It has not been registered and probably served in India due to the picture on the tank a Large T on what looks like a map of India.
A great project to start from as most of the rare parts are there, even the original contract plate still on the rear guard as is the rare rear light.
These were not fitted with rear number plates.
TL 57281 with T.E.C. 3. 45 which is March 1945
3HW 52927
Contract number s 6680 ref no 26
It turns and kicks over, the gears select, the clutch pulls and brakes work, the girders move.
The piston looks clean through the plug hole.
Original steel primary covers, guards, tank, seat, etc, all the hard to find parts that look original to the bike as they are the same old green paint that was obviously done years ago as were some strange chroming of parts.
The carb is not useable, the mag has what looks like a different front plate, no glass in headlight, no wiring, regulator etc.
all the parts that you can source.
The engine is Not tested and the engine is as found.
The tank is rusty but very solid.
It has a great patina and I would think someone would enjoy restoring this to ride and keep it as it is.
cash on pick up or bank transfer.
bike is in Folkestone Kent but we can chat about meeting up at Kempton or somewhere else if you bought it.
this bike has sat for many years and I believe has never been registered.
You can find info on WD bikes so it shouldn't be a problem.
Its a great start for a project.
