The trackpoint sometimes will require slight more force to push towards right to register moves, other directions not affected
Battery no longer holds a charge

SONY VAIO in this era were designed to be un-bootable from USB, instead, you will need to get an i-Link optical drive to install OS so please think twice before wiping the drive
