This NORTHWOOD ice green carnival glass "CORN" vase is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age has now become a beautiful family heirloom piece of glass that is just the way this American beauty left the "NORTHWOOD GLASS COMPANY" many years ago (over 100 years ago); This NORTHWOOD ice green carnival glass "CORN" vase is in excellent condition having NO chips, cracks, scratches, and NO glass staining; This NORTHWOOD ice green carnival glass "CORN" vase is marked with the famous "NORTHWOOD" trade mark, the "N" in a circle with a line underneath the letter "N" and don't over look the foot of this "CORN" vase having the "corn leaf" pattern on the foot of this "CORN" vase; I may add that this NORTHWOOD ICE GREEN CARNIVAL GLASS "CORN" VASE is an early NORTHWOOD vintage antique carnival glass "CORN" vase that has been used and displayed over many years and still remains in beautiful heirloom condition, surely the couple of people who have once owned this American beauty surely cherrished this piece of NORTHWOOD antique glass according to the condition this beautiful NORTHWOOD "CORN" vase remains in today; It did not matter what angle or position I photographed this American beauty the COLOR and iridescence is shown in the photos taken, after all that is what carnival glass is all about..............COLOR and iridescence, the finish is the satin type finish; I want to mention that this beautiful NORTHWOOD ice green "CORN" vase that I have here does have those early carnival glass era characteristics of the early carnival glass making process having stress marks, straw marks, and air bubbles sometimes seen inside the glass of early carnival glass, these characteristics of air bubbles are and can be seen inside the glass of this ice green "CORN" vase I have here, these early era characteristics were done during the production of this NORTHWOOD ice green "CORN" vase and is NOT considered damage, this info I just mentioned to you is all shown in my photos taken but any questions at all please e-mail me; This NORTHWOOD much sought after "CORN" vase is shown and talked about in one of my many reference materials, one is a hard back book by "Edwards & Carwile" a book on carnival glass, the "STANDARD ENCYCLOPEDIA of CARNIVAL GLASS 7th EDITION", on page #83; I've taken numerous (all) photos outside in natural daylight in different backgrounds in numerous angles & positions to show pattern, COLOR, condition, carnival glass iridescence, & size hoping to answer any and all questions but if need be you can E-mail me or you can see me on my NEW web site at terrymackeyantiques.com.
