The uniform of a Soviet medical officer with the rank of colonel had its own characteristics that distinguished it from the uniforms of other types of troops. Below is a general description of such a uniform:

Jacket:

The jacket had a military style and was made of special fabric for military uniforms.

He could have epaulettes with special coatings indicating rank and military branch.

Often the coat was decorated with awards, medals or other military decorations.

Pants:

Pants were also made of special military materials. They usually had a single color, usually dark green.

Hat:

Officers of the medical corps usually wore a dark green cap or eared hat (ushanka hat) with the appropriate military insignia.

Epaulettes and rank badges:

Colonel epaulettes on the coat had special military marks and insignia of the rank of colonel.

Usually, epaulettes can also be attached to other military insignia or signs of various medical specialties.

The uniform includes a ushanka hat, jacket, green shirt, pants and tie.

Epaulettes on the jacket mean the rank of a police officer - colonel.

Award strips on the jacket show that the officer was awarded medals:

- medal commemorating the 100th anniversary of Lenin's birth;

- medal of the USSR 20 years of victory in WWII;

- medal veteran of the armed forces of the USSR;

- medal for 40 years of the armed forces of the USSR;

- medal for 50 years of the armed forces of the USSR;

- medal for 60 years of the armed forces of the USSR;

- medal for 70 years of the armed forces of the USSR;

- medals for 10, 15, 20 years of impeccable service in the USSR.

Signs on the right side of the chest:

- badge of general military officer 3st class.
