A mahogany and tulip wood banded desk - the rectangular top above an arrangement of three frieze drawers and a further three opposing drawers, on moulded tapered square legs ending in spade feet with brass casts.

provenance: the desk is a facsimile of the one used by the governor of the bank of England. It was commissioned and gifted to Eddie George, the former governor of the bank of England on his retirement.
