ABOUT: For your consideration is a lot of THREE similar IBM Thinkpad 380 laptops, offered in bare-bones and damaged condition.ONE IBM charger is included, but despite being powered on as a courtesy, these units are offered as UNTESTED and are sold as PARTS for a Thinkpad enthusiast or for potential rebuild.

Please remember that, while I am a retro tech enthusiast, I am not an expert on the specifics of any given piece of retro technology. Some small components may be missing that I am not familiar with, so please ask any questions BEFORE bidding. This is a piece of 1990's technology that is incomplete, and bidding on it constitutes an interest to tinker with the understanding of potential unexpected hurdles common to retro tech.

Both 380ED units have very hazy passive matrix LCDs, the 380X has an Active TFT that is very red on cold boot and evens out as it warms up. All units have heavy use marks, missing screws, and areas were components were pried up to remove the original hard drives.

TERMS: These are used, barebones, vintage laptops with NO HARD DRIVES, offered UNTESTED AND ASIS for enthusiast parts scavenging, potential rebuild, or collecting. I am offering these units to another enthusiast with the understanding that the buyer is willing to undertake responsibility for the many repair and maintenance variables that come with antique computer components including such delicate tasks as capacitor replacement, etc.
