This is a fabulous Antique Compote Pot from W. Wood & Co. in Burslem, England.
The Silver Plated Rim, Handle and Lid were made by JBC & S, England.
The Compote Pot is in a round shape.
The bowl is hand painted in a Gaudy patterning with cobalt blue, rust florals and gold trim.
It is an outstanding piece and in good used condition.
The bowl measures approx. 6 inches high to the top of the handle.
The pot it self is approx. 4 inches high and wide.
On the back of the bowl is a back stamp with a Crown and a Stafford Knot.
On the side of the silver plate holder and on the lid is the makers mark of JBC&S Ltd.
The rim and lid are both marked EPNS. Without being cleaned both rim and handle ae more of a brass color,
which may indicate the silver plating has been rubbed off during the years.
