According to the literature, a 16"m frame should suit a rider height on the region of 173cm. Frame geometries and dimensions are detailed below.
Despite the aluminium frame showing signs of its age with some pain chips and flaking, it's still in remarkably good condition. There is one small dent in the top tube (see photos for reference). Frame comes complete with headset, Hope seat post quick release and Shimano XT M8000 bottom bracket (recently fitted and in excellent condition). Although the frame originally came fitted with rim brakes, making use of the disc brake mounts on the frame, it's been upgraded with a Shimano disc brake adaptor so can accept both IS and post mount callipers.
Klein used "Gradient tubing", where the wall thickness varied along the length and diameter of the tube. Highly manipulated chain stays on their mountain bikes allowed a tighter rear triangle to accommodate large off-road tyres, and facilitated efficient transfer of power.
