Peugeot Boxer 2018 model.
Registered September 2017. MOT until January 2015 with no advisories.
Medium roof, medium wheelbase.
Partial service record.
Mileage is just under 123,000.
Auction starts at £4,900. Less than the price of a bare van!

The whole van is straight and unmarked with the exception of two creases on the roof which do not show.
It drives well, with good engine, gearbox, steering and brakes. All four tyres are almost new, with a new spare.
The cab is clean with good upholstery, including the drivers seat.
This is our fourth camper conversion, and we have made it as simple and lightweight as possible.
Insulation is open cell foam in the walls, and Dodo fleece in the ceiling. Opening roof light.

HEATING. The usual Chinese diesel heater is installed, and we have found that when set on a thermostat it quickly brings the whole van up to temperature and then idles at its lowest setting, almost silent. With the insulation, it is more than adequate to keep the van cosy in the harshest weather.

WATER. 75 litres are stored inboard in three separate containers. Easily handled and refilled. Electric tap at the sink, and a separate hot water shower unit.
Grey water exits into a 25 litre container under the sink.
Toilet is a Thetford 365, hidden under a section of hinged worktop.

GAS. This is supplied from a lightweight refillable SAFEFILL (https://www.safefill.co.uk) cylinder strapped under the sink. Refills at many fuel stations and at Morrisons stores are far cheaper than buying gas bottles.

FRIDGE. An Alpicool compressor frig is fitted under one worktop, with a fast freezer compartment. It works well and uses far less power than our previous coolbox. It also has a door that opens either side - lazy! Storage under the frig.

FACILITIES. There are no high level cupboards. All round shelving has proved lighter and much more versatile for us. You can basically stow anything anywhere. Crockery sits in its own shelving unit as seen, and will stay with the van. There is also a large cutlery drawer. Cutlery stays with the van. There is a full size wardrobe, both for hanging smart clothes and with plenty of room for wet weather gear and boots.

ELECTRICS. Two 120 amp batteries are kept charged via a dc/dc charger fitted behind the drivers seat, fully automatic, and this also has provision for solar panels if wanted. There is plenty of lighting, both spots for reading, and diffused for quiet evenings.

BEDDING. The settees either side of the table have plenty of heated storage underneath for bedding, duvets, pillows - plus extra clothing etc. Heating is ducted to both compartments. The table drops down between the seats and forms a 6’ x 4’6” bed. The upholstery is foam, covered in stretchable fleece, and does not go baggy.

The floor under the bed/settee area is raised by 9”, and under this is stored the spare wheel, plus my tool box, trolley jack, spare diesel fuel and a bunch of sundries. All clean, under cover, and easily accessible (ever tried getting a spare wheel out from underneath a van in the rain, on soft ground, after a rear wheel puncture?). Only the spare wheel goes with the van.

IMPORTANT. On the engine, two injectors, no’s 2 and 4, need replacing. They blow out black smoke - unburnt fuel - on acceleration. I have bought two new injectors, which will go with the van for the new owner to fit.

EXTRAS. We have three new windows, one for the side sliding door and two for each rear door. One of the rear windows is openable, the other two are the bonded type. These come free if you want them.

The reason for selling is that my wife and I cannot go camping any more. We have had to become 24/7 full-time carers for both sick parents who cannot be left. The van is just sitting here, we’ve had a good camping life, and we want to see it used by someone. Whoever buys it and changes the injectors, will end up with a beut!

Over the years I’ve been messed around by a few bad Ebayers, so I need a £200  deposit at end of auction to demonstrate commitment. No deposit, No deal - and the next Ebayer gets offered the van.
The van is at my home in Fairbourne, Wales, and can be viewed anytime.
