Vehicle Details

I am pleased to present this stunning 1964 Austin Healey 3000 MkIII Series 1, or “Phase 1”. This California car has been in the care of one owner for 30 years! The car was driven and enjoyed until 2005 when a complete frame-off, nut and bolt $56,000 restoration was commissioned. During the restoration, the transmission was replaced with a Toyota Supra W58 5-speed unit. While obviously not original to the car, the update has provided a more confident driving experience in modern traffic.

While the car was not restored to ‘concours’, it is still a multi-show winner, and has scored a few 2nd place trophies here in Florida. Never driven in the rain, and always stored in a climate controlled garage, the restoration appears more recent. The car remains rust free.

To remind everyone it is British, (and I say that with great affection) the tachometer will stop working intermittently, then start working again. If you plan to drive the Healey in a cold climate, the new owner will need to look into having the choke serviced. This has not been an issue in Florida. The tires and the battery are brand new. The new owner will receive pictures of the car before and during the restoration, as well receipts. Thank you for your interest and happy bidding!
