Express Train
Waltham Watch Co. 18 size 15 jewel hunting case lever-set "Express Train" pocket watch movement/dial/hands. Currently not running so in need of some attention, but a scarce and interesting high grade Model 1883 movement that is very nicely finished with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, and a frosted and nickel damaskeen plate finish. Dial is double-sunk enamel with Arabic hour numerals. Serial number is 4338077.
Not running. Fully wound and balance swings freely. Seconds-hand post (fourth wheel arbor) is missing. Movement has good color and luster but its barrel bridge has a group of scratches crossing its right side. Dial has scattered hairlines and edge flakes. Seconds-hand is missing and seconds-hand post (fourth wheel arbor) is also missing.
