Epiphone was started by a family of Greek immigrants who settled in Manhattan at the beginning of the 20th century and began operating a business manufacturing, selling, and repairing mandolins and other musical instruments in a house and workshop building. Epaminondas, the eldest son, took over the family business and changed the name to Epiphone in 1928, and in the 1930s, as the boom in banjos and archtop guitars continued, both companies grew in stature while competing with rival Gibson, but during World War II, their production system was severely damaged. In the early 1950s, Les Paul, who had deep ties to the workshop, advised Gibson's Ted McCarty to save Epiphone. The following year, a new lineup was developed and a new path was set forth. This is a 1965 Gibson E444T "Granada" made at the Gibson Kalamazoo factory. Mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, 16" maple laminate body, and Melody Maker pickups. The most distinctive feature is the large pickguard assembly, which looks like a toy with a Melody Maker PU. The pickguard is a single coil with a clearer output than the P-90 and a simple 1Vol,1Tone circuit, which adds to the acoustic sound of the body and makes it unique. The rounded 40mm narrow neck is easy to pick up and play, The rounded 40mm neck is easy to pick up and play, and it also plays well unplugged, making it a great choice for playing at home. The overall appearance of the guitar is relatively clean with some weather checks, and the paint still has a glossy finish. Although there are some dents and minor scratches, there is no damage that would significantly affect the appearance or hinder the performance. It has been recently rubbed and is in good playing condition. The cruson, assembly, trapeze tailpiece, and other fundamental parts are original, and only the ABR type bridge has been replaced with domestic parts. Hard Case
