This historical, limited edition, Halcyon Days Enamels box depicts the Stone of Scone, a 335 pound block of red sandstone, used in the coronation of Scottish, English and British monarchs.  Used for Scottish monarchs since 500 AD, King Edward I of England captured it and took it to Westminster Abbey, where it was placed in St. Edward's Chair, which is used in the coronation of British monarchs.  In 1996 it was returned to Scotland and kept in Edinburgh Castle, but it is returned to London for coronations.  It was brought to London for the May 6, 2023 coronation of Charles III.  The top of the box has St. Edward's Chair with the Stone, heraldic shields, banners, and thistles and a red rose, the flowers of England and Scotland.  Historical scenes border the side, and information about the Stone is inside.  The box is 1.3" by 1.8" with a height of .9".  "Halcyon Days Enamels - England - Bilston & Battersea Enamels Revival", "In an edition limited to 700, this is no. 199" and explanations of the scenes on the side are on the bottom.  It comes with the presentation case.  PLEASE CHECK MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE BOXES - I'LL BE LISTING  ADDITIONAL ONES LATER IN THE WEEK.   PLEASE CHECK BACK OFTEN.
