I don't know how to describe this necklace.  It hangs 18" from center so it was difficult to display it for photography.

20 strand necklace, looks handmade.
Type of thread unknown, looks like a chain stitch that can be done knitting or crochet
Age unknown
possibly Native American
closure by rawhide ties
Unknown medal findings
long necklace (but relatively light due to construction). It is 18" from the metal end to the center so I guess it hangs 18" plus the rawhide string.

Please look at the pictures..
It has 20 strands that look like crocheted or knitted chain stitch in a golden brown thread, very delicate onto which is organized sets of 3 small coral colored tubular beads.  I don't know what the bead is... it feels to me like stone, possibly coral or glass, not plastic.  I am not a gemologist or jewelry expert. Can coral be cut in this shape and this small?  I don't see variations between beads.  I don't know.
