Up for sale is a very cool Antique 19th Century Tin Shadowbox Picture Frame with a Floral Bouquet inside.

Featuring a tin metal shadowbox frame with a nice embossed design and an embossed flower at the top. The frame serves as a diorama for a bouquet of perennial flowers and vegetation tied together with a velvet ribbon. The vegetation might be native to the Eastern US, I cannot identify the exact species inside to be certain. The frame and bouquet look like they were likely home made by a novice artist/craftsman.

There is light to moderate rust throughout the whole frame. The tin of the frame bends easily so it is  hard to get it bent absolutely perfectly into shape. The original glass has light stain on the inside but is otherwise in good shape. The frame is all together and solid and perfectly operational, I am not sure if the soldering job is original or was done afterwards, it does not look like a modern soldering job. I do advise to still handle with care. The flowers inside have faded color from age as expected but have preserved rather well with not many fallen petals. Overall the piece displays beautifully.

Measurements are approximately:
Frame:
16 3/4" Tall x 11" Wide.
Fits up to:
10 1/2" Tall x 7 1/2" Wide
1 1/8" Thick.

This is an antique, handmade item and may have manufacturers imperfections which do not affect the display of the piece.
