Just incredible! We find so few of these Victorian gem set lockets so are really happy we sourced this one in such great condition. She is a gem set red paste (could be ruby) and natural seed pearl locket set in 9ct gold back and front. Under the 10x loupe magnification, two seed pearls have some nibbles and wear and tear which are not noticeable to the naked eye. The front has a wonderful bow design with a millgrain decorartive border, to the back is hallmarked 9ct back and front. There are a few dimples to the back of the locket, but this does little to detract from the overall lovely condition. Inside, both picture frames are in tact with a picture of a girl the right and a women/grandmother to the left. To the left, the picture casing has a purple dye mark, but the frame and plastic are all in tact. Shuts with a secure click and hinge in good working order. Measures 4x2.8cm and weighs a decent 10g!
