Meissen porcelain teabowl, c. 1740. Hand painted with a Mythological scene of Venus, with Cupid, and other Putti, eating fruit from a basket, in a rural setting. The interior painted with a single flower.

Underglaze blue crossed swords mark to the base.

Diameter - 7.3 cm, 2 7/8”.
Height – 4.5 cm, 1 3/4”.

Condition – Chip to the footrim. Typical wear to the overglaze enamel rim. No restoration.
