2011 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ 4x4

Up for sale is our beloved Suburban with 186k miles. I bought this truck in 2018 with 94k on it. This Suburban has moved kids around for years, but we don’t need this size of vehicle anymore, (although we’ve been struggling to say goodbye to it).  We have already replaced this vehicle and not in a rush to sell but hope the right buyer will see how great this truck is. I will attempt to articulate to the general buyers as well as directly to the GMT900 experts who understand the qualities and minor quirks of these vehicles, just how great this truck is. This ‘burban is as mechanically sound as it can be for its tenure. The 5.3-liter V8 fires right up and the transmission shifts ultra-smooth. No issues at all with the 4wd system.  This truck has the factory integrated towing brake system as well as the transmission cooler. I’ve ran fully synthetic engine oil since I purchased it.

This LTZ model is equipped with the Bose sound system, satellite radio, backup camera and obstacle sensors, as well as the dropdown two-screen entertainment package with remote control that will play DVDs. The front seats are heated and cooled, while the second-row captain chairs are heated. The third row has plenty of room. There are separate comfort controls in the rear passenger area. It has a sunroof and a power lift gate for easy of cargo operations. It also has power-adjustable pedals! We currently have Weatherguard mats throughout the vehicle, but also have the OEM carpet mats. It is equipped with the remote start feature on the fob.

This year, I replaced the oil pan gasket, engine mounts, transmission mounts and transmission shifter linkage. I have been running an AFM eliminator for at least 6 years now, keeping it in V8 mode full time. I still get about 20-22 MPG on the highway. It does not consume any oil and has not fouled out a cylinder in over 5 years. The rear main seal was replaced in 2022. I covered the cracked dash with Dashskin and it has performed flawlessly as an interior upgrade. The tires are under two years old and the brakes are good. As many know, the air ride suspension in these vehicles fails early and often; I have removed the air suspension and installed passive coil-over suspension. It rides smoothly and quietly without any issues. Occasionally the “Service Suspension” message will come on in the message cue (not a warning light), and a simple push of the check button will turn it off. There are ways to correct this but it was not a big deal to us. It’s simply an occasional advisory.  The airbag safety recall was accomplished in 2021.

Disclosures: There is a small dent/damage from a side collision with a post on the rear quarter panel that we never repaired (see photos). We have received an estimate of $1,300 to get it repaired but honestly, it’s just cosmetic and never bothered us. I do believe the parking brake cable should be replaced as it is showing signs of wear, but again something we never used. The battery is probably 3 years old and currently fires up just fine, but something to be considered in the near future. While the interior is not perfect with some minor blemishes, there are no rips or tears.

I have the clear title in hand and plenty of maintenance records for the next family of this Suburban. To replace this model with a new suburban will cost you close to 6 digits. This truck is a bargain and still has plenty of life left. It comes with 2 keys and 2 fobs. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.  VIN: 1GNSKKE38BR125366 Located in Hanahan, SC a suburb of Charleston and a 15-minute ride from the airport. Thanks for looking!

**Note (4/15):  Upon reading the auto history report, I noticed some inaccurate reporting of airbags being deployed during a minor collision in 2021.  We have never had the airbags deploy in this vehicle and I have reached out to a Charleston County clerk to try to revise this reporting. I will be persistent in getting this remediated. -jw
