A stunning large sized Victorian mourning fan in what I think is silk moire fabric or possibly taffeta? I'm not sure but it has that wood-grain type of appearance I associate with silk moire.
The struts I think are made of wood with filigree style cutouts. One one of the struts there is a small piece missing on one edge. There are a couple of tiny spots on this that look like possibly red paint - not highly noticeable. See pics.
When extended measures 61 x 33cm
The fan has a long piece of black ribbon attached - the ribbon also looks of considerable age.
The fabric has a couple of small tears in it - see pics. The is stitching in a couple of places that may be from past repairs. There are a few loose threads on the bottom edge of the fabric where it meets the struts.

Overall in good condition for a delicate fan of this age and materials.
