This gorgeous antique Chines silk vest is an incredible original garment from the Qing dynasty- and scores extra points for modern wearability! 100% silk and one-of-a-kind, this piece is suitable for dress or display.

Good overall condition. Some area of shattering, as illustrated in photographs. Trim is torn, with stains, at bottom back right corner (please see seventh photograph). Approximate one inch opening at seam on left armpit. Stain on left shoulder (sixth photo). Scattered small spots and two stains on lining (best viewed in ninth photograph).

Silk is fully lined with contrasting peach silk interior. Embroidered ribbon trim and gold piping. Five frog closures with original hardware at front. Side and back vents. “Manufacturer’s tag” attached to inside right front (eighth photograph). Vest measures 44 inches at chest, and 24 inches from shoulder to hem.
