My grading guidelines:
9.5-10.0 Mint+ Super
Marble in every way. Looks glossy wet in hand. May contain as made
dimples or slight roll mark. The type of marble everyone wants in their
collection. You?ll Love this Mib.
9.3-9.4 Mint Still very nice marble, with nice wet surface, but may have subtle blemishes like a tiny flea or surface scratch.
9.0-9.2 Mint- Surface still glossy, but a few too many tiny hits to get a higher grade. Still great marble to have in collection.
8.7-8.9 Near Mint + Surface
just isn?t crisp enough to call mint, and may contain a few minor hit
marks. A marble in this range may also show no hit marks, but just has
too much surface wear to be graded higher.
8.4-8.6 Near Mint Surface wear combined with multiple hit marks, but no major dings or missing glass.
8.0-8.3 Near Mint - A
marble that has a combination of scratchy surface, large hit marks,
basically a place holder till something better comes along.
