British Airways Concorde Rolls Royce Olympus 593 Engine Compressor Rotor Blade Stage High Pressure 3.

 

A genuine original part from British Airways Concorde with a copy of British Airways Certificate of Authenticity.

This Rolls Royce Olympus 593-610 Turbojet engine (as used on Concorde) Rotor Blade is located in Stage 3 of the High Pressure (HP) 7 stage axial flow compressor.

 

The dimensions of this item are approximately 14.6cm x 4.2cm x 1.3cm and it weighs approximately 85g.

 

It has a silver/grey finish over the blade, with an intricate fir tree root for attachment to the rotor disc.

 

This blade is made from extremely heat-resistant Titanium alloy which allows it to withstand the very high compressor delivery temperatures during Concordes twice the speed of sound supersonic flight.

 

This rotor blade was manufactured by Rolls Royce and is identified by Olympus 593 part number B932572, which is clearly embossed into the base of the blade.

 

The page extracts from the Rolls Royce manuals as shown in the photos will also be included which show the location of the blade in the engine.

 

Also included, a copy of British Airways Certificate of Authenticity from the DOVEBID auction, which certifies that these are genuine items used in association with the operation of the British Airways Concorde fleet.
