I REALLY NEED TO SELL THIS AND OTHER ITEMS - "life" is making these tough decisions necessary...

NOTE...The team will no longer be known as the Connecticut Tigers, as of 2020, so this style of jersey is now officially retired and defunct and highly collectible!

This is an awesome baseball item - a game-used Connecticut Tigers jersey of one-time Detroit Tigers outfield power-hitting prospect Christin Stewart - who was a STAR with the Tennessee Volunteers!!!

BTW: I GOT THE JERSEY SIGNED BY CHRISTIN early in the 2019 season (5-3-19) at Bradenton's LECOM Park - where Stewart just completed a phenomenal rehab game, hitting a home run, double and single for the Lakeland Flying Tigers in their 13-7 win over the Bradenton Marauders!!!! Here's the link to the box score of the game I attended to get this jersey signed by Stewart!!!

Stewart wore this jersey during his first professional season (2015) after being drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the first round of the 2015 draft, after three years at the University of Tennessee. I have posted several pictures of him wearing the jersey - including on the Connecticut Tigers' team-issued baseball card set. I purchased the jersey directly from the Connecticut Tigers following the 2017 season, and have two team LOAs - one listing the other players who wore the jersey (Austin Sodders 2016 and Victor Mueses in 2017), with Stewart's first name spelled "Christian" and a second LOA issued four days later (February 16, 2018) with Stewart's name spelled correctly and only listing him on the LOA.

The No. 50 on the back has a few thread snags and there is minor pilling around the neck inside the jersey. The jersey has two beautiful stitched-on patches on each sleeve - the left sleeve has a red rose, which is included on all Connecticut jerseys...signifying the Norwich, Connecticut - the team's hometown - being known as "The Rose of New England". The patch on the right sleeve is a "NEW YORK-PENN LEAGUE 1939" patch, which was affixed before the 2017 season.

Stewart was assigned to the Connecticut Tigers from the Gulf Coast Tigers on June 28, 2015, and played 14 games for the Connecticut Tigers in 2015 - with two doubles, two triples, two homes runs, 11 RBI and a .245 average. On July 14, 2015, Stewart was  assigned by Connecticut to West Michigan Whitecaps of the Midwest League.

Stewart has hit 132 career minor league home runs, with 297 RBI. In the Tigers' system before joining the Red Sox organization, he was powerfully productive at every level of his MILB career, and rewarded with his MLB recall on Sept 9, 2018 - when the Detroit Tigers selected his contract from the Toledo Mud Hens.

Stewart made his MLB debut that same day (Sept. 9, 2018) at Comerica Park against the St. Louis Cardinals - popping out to second base in the ninth inning as a pinch-hitter for Ronny Rodriguez. Stewart played 17 games for Tigers, finished his first major league season with two home runs, 11 RBI and a .267 batting average.
