THIS ONE IS THE REAL DEAL

                                                    Trans World Airlines Luxury Liner

Featured In the Movie From 1963, "Sunday In New York"  With Jane Fonda and Rod Taylor

Beautiful box with no DENTS, scratches or anything more than three scuffed (barely) corners. I've had this kit for 30 years and started it back then by installing the plastic strip for the windows of the fuselage of the plane. I learned even back then that those little plastic strips basically ;dry-up' and become useless very quickly unless installed immediately.

The kit is complete with all parts, and original decals (Not in bad shape)  And I just made a new set of decals for you just in case.  Somehow the reproductions never come out as bright as the originals.

This kit originally sold for 98 cents, hence the *98 after the P19 model number. I didn't realize that for a long time?!

This is truly a historic airplane that measured 97'- 4" long. The kit measures 10-3/8" long (the tail doesn't add any length. So take 97' x 12 to get everything in inches, = 1164 + 4" = 1168" long, the real plane.  1168 / 10.375 (.375 is the decimal equivalent of 3/8") and you get: 112.58, that is the scale, 1:113 (rounding) So MAYBE they were trying for 1:128 ? My guess is that the model-makers back then used "Slide Rules" to make their calculations and they Fudged in order to make production somehow easier.

For the money, this KIT is the best deal of them all here on eBay !

BECAUSE...Look closely at the other kits available. Some say 1957, but have choke warnings on the plastic bags?! Others say "sealed" and are the Re-Issue. Look closely to be sure you're getting exactly what you want. I like to have a nice box to hold the instructions and other papers that came with the kit. I don't see the Monogram folded Catalog on anyone's listings. But I do see 1:128, like that's true? I've just seen 1:9 scale too! Imagine lining 9 of these up and thinking it's an airplane?! Just noted the one with the PATCH. It says Vintage and is the re-issue too. No PATCH was ever issued with the original kit! Like I said, this IS the best buy here. IN FACT, as of right NOW, every single listing for this, vintage, MONOGRAM Constellation is either being misrepresented, or the kit has something wrong with it!  AND we as consumers didn't have plastic wrap until 1953, and then it was marketed in Australia! Not to mention Shrink Wrap for plastic models?!  Just saying...
