Jose Ramirez

Jose Ramirez I studied guitar making at Francisco Gonzalez's workshop from 1870, and established his own workshop in Rastro in 1882. He then moved to Madrid's Concepción Jerónimo Street, where the history of Ramírez guitars began in earnest, and during the reign of King Ramírez III, he brought innovations in construction that greatly influenced subsequent guitar makers. Today, the guitar is firmly in the hands of the fourth generation, Amalia Ramirez, daughter of Jose Ramirez III, and the fifth generation, Cristina and Jose Enrique. The Jose Ramirez workshop's production methods and philosophies, thus established for more than 130 years, are today the basis of the Madrid school of guitar making.

The 3E model, made in 1988, is an entry-level model among Ramirez models.

Originally a classical model, this guitar was used as a flamenco guitar, so the string height is set quite low. Depending on the purpose of use, it may be possible to raise the string height.

The string windings have been replaced with Gotoh ones.

The golpe board has not been stretched.

There are some paint cracks, touch-up marks, dents, and minor playing scratches on the front board, but there are no cracks or other major repairs, and it is in good condition.

This model is easy to play and has a solid volume, so it may be a good replacement for acoustic guitars or electric guitars.
