The large Vintage 18" Curious George is from the Commonwealth Toy Co. INC.  I believe is prior to 1963 as there is no zip code on the tag. Zip codes began in 1963. This Curious George has a pull string and says some of the following: I love school, Lets count 1, 2 , 3, I am soft and cuddly, Read about me in school, I learn new things, I'm Curious George and a couple of more. Pull String pulls easily and there is no stuttering. Voice sounds a little scratchy but audible. There are no odors, pulled seams or holes. The photos show monkey's face, hands and feet as white but they are more of a tan. Georges red shirt is not original to the doll and has pills on it.. The 8" CG is clean and has no issues. It is an Applause and made by Margret and H. A. Rey-?1990. The smallest CG is 5" tall with no issues- Applause/Russ Berrie & Co.
