Santa Cruz Chameleon
This is a Santa Cruz Chameleon in size Medium. Frame is currently set up for 29" wheels but can run 27.5+ too. Described by the great Guy Kesteven on BikeRadar as a "sweet riding, super versatile pinner". Full spec is below. Anything marked as 'NEW' has just been taken for one ride to make sure it all works OK:
- Santa Cruz Chameleon 29er frame (aluminium), medium
- NEW PNW Components "Coast" suspension dropper post (120mm drop plus 40mm suspension travel) + Loam lever (gen. 2)
- SRAM Eagle GX 12-speed rear mech and shifter (with NEW Shimano inner & outer cable)
- SRAM Eagle 12-speed chain and cassette - 500% 10-50T
- Fox Rhythm 34 forks w/GRIP damper
- NEW Shimano Deore brakes front and rear (calipers, levers, discs)
- NEW Maxxis DHF and DHR tubeless tyres
- NEW Invisiframe on frame and forks
- NEW Burgtec seat clamp
- NEW Burgtec grips
- NEW RaceFace bottom bracket
- NEW headset bearings
- Burgtec steerer top cap
- RaceFace cranks w/ end-cap protectors and narrow-wide chainring
- WTB ST i23 rims / SRAM hubs (with NEW stealth rim decals)
- Muc-off tubeless valves & Joe's eco-friendly sealant
Obviously anything marked 'NEW' is in immaculate condition and full working order. Everything else is in full working order; fork stanchions are immaculate. The cranks have some shoe wear to the anodising, and the wheels are both true but have a couple of rock chips to the paint. The frame shows some signs of use, but equally has just been touched-up with colour-matched paint, then polished and had Invisiframe applied so it looks good. It's also had a light ceramic coat applied to help make keeping it clean easier in future. I also replaced all of the cable routing grommets with brand new ones from Santa Cruz. It therefore does have some signs of use up close (see photos) but on the flip side it was mistaken for brand new on my test ride!
Sale includes a couple of extra bits including original Santa Cruz seat post clamp, original bracket for the Loam Lever, the rest of the packet of Santa Cruz frame grommets, and frame touch-up paint.
Viewing possible in the Loughborough area; the bike is lovely up close and photos don't do it justice.
Collection only from near Loughborough or can meet at J24 of the M1.
