Tibetan GAU made of Tibet Silver

An extremely rare handcrafted piece!
I bought the amulet from a Tibetan who lives in exile in Nepal.

The Tibetan amulet can be opened like a small box. Tibetans wear the so-called Gaus around their necks. Religious good luck charms and medicinal herbs are kept in them. They are often used as “portable shrines”.

The beautiful pendant is made of a silver mixture called Tibetan silver. In the center of the delicately crafted surface is the endless knot, which stands for endless life and endless love. Around the outside you can see “Om Mane Padme Hum” in Tibetan characters.
