Description

Since its release in 1931, the Martin Guitar Eternal Standard Model D-28 has always been at the center of the music scene, and has always been the standard acoustic guitar model for all manufacturers. . The D-28 has undergone various minor changes depending on the historical background and musical trends of the time, and it still reigns as a standard model among standard acoustic guitars. Now in stock is the vintage series HD-28V, which follows the pre-war specs of the D-28. It was a popular model due to its vintage-flavored specs, sound, and looks, but it has now been integrated into the HD-28 standard, making it a valuable model that is unfortunately no longer available as a new model!

Solid Sitka spruce TOP, solid Indian rosewood SIDE & BACK, mahogany NECK, ebony fingerboard & bridge, actual 43mm nut, 25.4 inch scale Martin traditional dreadnought body. Old decal logo, old butterbean open back gear tuner, slotted diamond inlay, bold herringbone trim, tortoiseshell pickguard, long slot saddle, forward shift scallop bracing It has specifications that are full of vintage flavor!

The sound is a Martin-like elastic sound, with the addition of the sound spread and overtones unique to scallop bracing, making it a powerful yet Martin-like gentle sound! The bass is pronounced with plenty of room, and is blended with a well-defined midrange and a glittering high range with rich overtones, allowing you to enjoy a beautiful and harmonious sound. If you strum it with a flat pick, you will get a strong and powerful sound that is gentle to the ear, and if you strum it with your fingers, you will get a clear sound with a nice overtone and beautiful overtones, so it is suitable for any genre or play. ・I think it's a sound that can be used for almighty regardless of the style! In addition, this individual is equipped with L.R.Baggs' i-Beam Active as an afterthought, so it is ready for live performances and recording! This PU has a volume control, but maybe the previous owner didn't like the dial/volume peeking through the sound hole? The volume is mounted inside the X bracing. It doesn't feel that inconvenient once you get used to it, but you do have to insert your finger a little deeper than usual.

The condition of the instrument is that it has some small scratches and signs of use due to its age, but there are no noticeable scratches and it is in good condition. It's not something I usually see, but it seems like the tip of the 6th string side on the back of the head was hit, and the paint film is whitish, which is a little noticeable. There are some small dents, scratches, and scratches on the body and top, so I can't say it's like new, but considering it's an instrument that's been used for over 20 years, I don't think there's anything to make a fuss about. Masu. There are some small scratches here and there on the SIDE & BACK and the back of the neck, but there is no major damage that warrants special mention. It is not suitable for those who are looking for something like new, but I think it is perfectly OK for those who would like something with a certain dignity that feels like it has been used to some extent.

The neck condition is generally good, and the current string height is about 2.7mm on the 6th string and 2.0mm on the 1st string above the 12th fret, which is the best setting. There is still plenty of room in the saddle, so further fine-tuning of the string height is possible. There is some reduction in the frets, mainly on the low frets, but even in the area where the most reduction has occurred, about 70-80% of the original height remains.

A popular model that is difficult to obtain now! This is a valuable piece recommended for those who have a tight 44.5mm neck on the current model or those who prefer a V-shaped neck!

The original Martin case is included, but with this Martin Gabe case, the handle and the iron plate inside are starting to separate. It looks like both ends are floating, but it doesn't feel strange when you hold it, and the iron plate is solid.
