Prototype: Swiss Federal Railways (SBB/CFF/FFS) class RAm TEE express rail car train 501 and 502. Diesel electric powered end car, compartment car, dining car, and open seating car with an engineer's cab. Same design as the Dutch TEE train class DE 1001 through 1003. Built in 1957, original version from Era III. Used for Trans Europe Express service in Switzerland, Germany, and the Benelux countries.
TEE-DE IV in high-quality design. The four-piece TEE-DE IV is one of Roco‘s top new products for new century! With this set those who start their model railroading hobby with Roco get a particularly sophisticated offering. All four vehicles are precisely manufactured in 1:87 scale (Length: 1117 mm). The motor car was given a heavy metal chassis. The motor with two flywheels which transfers its power over all six axles is embedded in this chassis. A total of four wheels have traction tires. A digital decoder with original sound and load control ensures a prototypical model railroad experience. The motor car has a special circuit that enables the train to pick-up power from the preceding vehicle. Recommended minimum radius R3 (r = 434,5 mm). Those who like romantic effects can retroactively install a 40360 interior lighting set that can be digitally switched via the conductive couplings. The white/red alternating headlight or tail light is realized via maintenance-free LEDs; for the headlights we use the LED color „warm white“ which corresponds to the prototype.
