Sidney Strube 1891-1956 ,  in his time was a very well known cartoonist .

Started working for the Daily Express Newspaper in 1912. In 1933 , he was offered £10,000 per year ( a huge sum of money back then ) to work for the Daily Herald .

But Lord Beaverbrook matched the salary to keep Sidney at The Express .

He was best know for his " little man " , this is the character seated on the motorcycle .
