When Sadie sees a piece of colored glass propped against the kitchen window, she is puzzled but doesn’t give it too much thought…until she learns that her best friend Roz Putnam, then Judith Marley, and then other townspeople are finding them too. Compelled to find out why, she collects all of the pieces and it soon becomes clear that each one is part of a much larger picture. What is it? And what common thread ties together the recipients? 

Meanwhile, Theo’s senior class is planning to open a time capsule put together by the Silver Peak High School Class of 1950 and create one of their own. But they soon discover that the capsule was moved from its original location, and no one seems to know where it is. Theo sets out to solve the mystery of its disappearance. But what long-buried secrets might be stirred up when it is found?
