One of my great projects for sale, Vintage Professional Bass Rig
Laney DP150 Bass Amplifier Head & Farnel Bass Cabinet 2x15 Celestion TF1520 Legacy and 2x Fane Tweeters
This is a great sounding rig, definitely for bassists who place focus on details in sound
In my opinion, it will work great in: Rock, Blues, Reggae and related musical styles, It works very well with slapping the thumb

This is one of my honest projects, I made all the repairs myself, calculated the cabinet, selected the right speakers, cabinet tuning and built the amplifier box. It took a lot of great work to make it as beautiful and proud as it is now

Now some technical details

Amplifier:
Laney DP150
This is a production from the late 80s and early 90s
Don't be fooled by the information that it is only 150 Watt 4ohm, in fact it is extremely loud (especially with efficient speakers), the preamplifier input is 30mV (You can find information online from some people that it is 300W, it is so loud that it is hard to believe that it is 150W)
Amp can work with 4, 8, 16 ohm cabinets; however, not less than 4 ohms, you will damage it
On board is:
- Gain control with a diode indicating overdrive
- Pre-Shape function which significantly deepens/enhances the sound of the bass guitar
- 11 way Large Graphic Equalizer with on/off function and Graphic Balance allows you to control the ratio of Eq vs raw sound
- The limiter, working really well, soften distortion, the sound is much more smoother
- Noise Gate
- Pre/Post Eq for DI - Xlr Output
- DCP Switch on/off and DCP Control - Adjusts the amount of high frequency attack, when pulled increase bass response (all in      one pots)
- x2 FX Loop; one on the front, the other on the back
- Line out
- Headphones
- x2 Speakers Output / TS - Big Jack
- Pat test done
- Clean pots, fully serviced, cleaned etc. no crackling or unwanted disturbances
A really very practical and functional amplifier, all packed in a very strong wooden plywood box, double twisted and glued
Amplifier box with carrying handle, legs on the side and large rubber legs underneath, very strong construction, protects the amplifier

Speaker and power cables included

Speaker Cabinet:
Farnell Bass Cabinet Vintage 70s-80s
2x15 inch speakers and 2x Hi/Mid Tweetrs
I installed x2 brand new Celestion TF1520 Legacy there, these speakers turned out to be one of the best choices for this configuration, I used the Hornresp Application for this (yes, I am a sound engineer and I deal with such matters, great application by the way)
Continuous power rating for this cabinet is 600 Watts for Celestion + 50 for Fane Tweeters
This is soldered to a total of 4 ohms to be able to use the full capabilities of the amplifier
The cabinet is on solid castors, which makes it very easy to move, also handles on the sides
650 Watt / 4 ohm / 96dB  /  Frequency response 36-1400 Hz

Personally, I never like calculating costs in auctions, but please understand, I don't want to lose,
The money I spent on all the elements together was £336 + my job and all gear

I decided to sell because I need money and I have little space in the studio; Unfortunately, I cannot keep all these musical gems

Due to the size and weight, I prefer personal collection and testing during collection in my studio, or I can pack it into two separate packages and send it at the buyer's expense. I can also deliver to the indicated address for the cost of travel, my time + fuel (write to me, we will set the details)
