Description

The OM-28 was born in 1929 at the suggestion of banjo player Perry Bechtel, who changed the standard 12-fret joint to a 14-fret joint, which improved the playability of the high position and established a new design that became a model for later guitars. It became a model for subsequent guitars. It is one of Martin's most iconic models that has been loved for many years, right up to the present day.

This instrument has an austere look and tasteful sound, and even now that it is no longer in production, the Vintage Series, OM-28V, USED made in 2013, boasts deep-rooted popularity.

Top: Sitka spruce

Sides & Back: Indian Rosewood

Neck: Mahogany

Fingerboard: Ebony

Bridge: Ebony

Pegs: Open Back

Other: 44.5mm nut width, 645mm scale, drop-in long saddle, beckoned pickguard, herringbone trim

With details that would satisfy even vintage rubbers, such as diamond position and aged toner finish, this series has long been popular as the core series of Martin guitars. Although the Standard Series has now taken over the appearance, the imposing V-shaped neck is unique to the Vintage Series of this era.

The OM size has a nice, full, and grainy sound, with a full midrange, and the plain strings have a glossy and clear sound. It has a very wide range of sound with a sense of volume.

There are some minor scratches, but nothing major or noticeable, and overall the instrument is in beautiful condition, equipped with an L.R. Baggs under-saddle piezo for perfect line output.

We recommend this guitar for those who are looking for a late OM-28V with easy-to-maintain drop-in saddle, good pickguard texture, and an austere OM!
