THANKS FOR LOOKING

I have for sale a beautiful Gibson L-00 1934 vintage acoustic guitar. 14 Fret sunburst flat top with fire stripe scratch plate. The guitar was made by Gibson in their Kalamazoo factory. There is an original makers label inside the guitar ( see photos ) Serial number is 1311 which dates the manufacture as 1934 and it is still in great playing condition. Low action, smooth sweet sound.

I believe the materials are : Adirondack spruce top, Mahogany neck, back, and sides, and Brazilian Rosewood bridge and fingerboard.

It comes with a hard case to protect it during transport. Not sure if this is the original case but it looks like a case that's 90 years old so no reason to think its not original or at least a case that is as old as the guitar.– the case is in reasonable condition for its age with all catches and hinges still working.

This Gibson L-00 is a highly sought-after collectable however this would not sound out of place on any stage in the world. I did consider getting a pick up fitted but it just did not seem the right thing to do to interfere with a classic built guitar.

The right-handed guitar has a 6 string configuration and is perfect for any musical style but probably shines in finger picking and light strumming...in a Country/Folk/Blues genre it really shines. The guitar is in excellent condition and has been well cared for over the years I have owned it.

The guitar is in fine condition, especially considering it is 90 years old. The action is perfect and the guitar plays and sounds fantastic. The guitar does have some small marks and dings to its top, with the backs and sides also having some small marks – tuning pegs all work fine. Biggest mark is on the back from what looks like a bit of buckle rash but is not deep into the wood ( who knows it could be from Johnny Cash's belt buckle !)  . Stamped "Made in the USA" on the back of the headstock which indicates this guitar was made for export.

Shipping within mainland UK using fully insured 24-hour courier or Parcelforce service will be £40.00. Happy to ship worldwide at separate cost - please message me to confirm cost.

It has the sweetest punchy mellow tone and sounds exactly how you would expect a 1934 Gibson made in the Kalamazoo factory to sound.

" Made in the USA" and serial Number 1311 stamped on the back of the headstock which dates the guitar as 1934. The "Made in the USA " stamp would suggest that the guitar was made for the export market....perhaps initially for the Canadian market.

I purchased this guitar from Guitar Guitar in Glasgow around 6 - 7 years ago. It had just come into the shop as a private sale and was being sold by the late great Rab Noakes ( although I have no direct proof of this) I was the first person to play it in the shop and instantly bought it before someone else snapped it up.

It's time for someone else to enjoy this guitar...I have a few others to keep me occupied. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a piece of musical history....they are not making any more of these.

I can supply more photos if required to seriously interested parties

HAPPY BIDDING
