This item in my EBAY store is a NORTHWOOD "PEACOCKS on the FENCE" AQUA OPALESCENT CARNIVAL GLASS EIGHT RUFFLE SHAPED BOWL with a "RIB & PANEL" BACK. This NORTHWOOD "PEACOCKS on the FENCE" eight ruffle shaped bowl is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age has now become a beautiful family heirloom piece of glass; This NORTHWOOD "PEACOCKS on the FENCE" bowl is in excellent condition having NO chips, cracks, scratches, and no glass staining; I may also add that this NORTHWOOD "PEACOCKS on the FENCE" AQUA OPALESCENT CARNIVAL GLASS EIGHT RUFFLE SHAPED BOWL is an early NORTHWOOD vintage antique carnival glass "PEACOCKS on the FENCE" bowl that has been used and displayed over many years and still remains in beautiful heirloom condition, surely the couple of people who have once owned this American beauty surely cherrished this piece of NORTHWOOD antique glass according to the condition this NORTHWOOD
"PEACOCKS on the FENCE" bowl remains in today; Folks this "PEACOCKS on the FENCE" carnival glass pattern is one of NORTHWOODS most premier patterns and this particular bowl is just the way this American beauty left the "NORTHWOOD GLASS COMPANY"; It did not matter what angle or position I photographed this "PEACOCKS on the FENCE" bowl the COLOR and iridescence can be seen in my numerous photos taken, after all it is all about the...............COLOR and iridescence; This aqua opalescent carnival glass "PEACOCKS on the FENCE" is an eight ruffle shaped bowl with a sawtooth edge around the top of this American beauty, there is NO wear of any kind as you can see in the numerous photos taken of this bowl (I assure you the "PEACOCKS" are beautifully iridized, I am not happy with my photos); This particular "PEACOCKS on the FENCE" eight ruffle shaped bowl that I have here is NOT marked with the famous NORTHWOOD trade mark, the back secondary pattern is the ever so famous "RIB and PANEL" pattern as the back secondary pattern; This aqua opalescent color is a very much sought after iridescence color that everyone wants to have in their china cabinets; You can see this NORTHWOOD "PEACOCKS on the FENCE" much sought after pattern that is shown and talked about in one of my many reference materials, one is a hard back book by "Edwards & Carwile" a book on carnival glass, the "STANDARD ENCYCLOPEDIA of CARNIVAL GLASS 7th EDITION, on page #270; I've taken numerous (all) photos outside in the natural daylight in different backgrounds in numerous angles & positions to show pattern, COLOR, condition, carnival glass iridescence, & size hoping to answer any and all questions but if need be you can E-mail me or you can see me on my NEW web site at terrymackeyantiques.com.
