This item in my EBAY store is a FENTON CELESTE BLUE STRETCH GLASS #857  "MELLON RIB"  LARGE COLLAR FTD. "FAN" VASE.  This FENTON celeste blue stretch glass #857 "MELLON RIB" large collar ftd. "FAN" vase is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age has now become a beautiful family heirloom piece of FENTON glass.   This Fenton celeste blue stretch glass ftd. "FAN" vase is in excellent condition having NO chips, cracks, scratches and no glass staining;   I want to mention that there is no roughness or wear on the eight bone "ribs" on the inside of this "FAN" vase, there is no damage of any kind on the collar foot of this American beauty, my photos show all this to you, the COLOR and satin STRETCH IRIDESCENCE is at FENTONS best but any questions at all please e-mail me, this FENTON beauty is just the way this beauty left the FENTON ART GLASS COMPANY many years ago;   I may add that this FENTON CELESTE BLUE STRETCH GLASS #857 "MELLON RIB" LARGE COLLAR FTD. "FAN" VASE is an early vintage FENTON antique stretch glass collar ftd. "FAN" vase that has been used and displayed over many years and still remains in beautiful heirloom condition;   Surely the couple of people who have once owned this American FENTON beauty cherished this piece of FENTON antique stretch glass according to the condition this "MELLON RIB" collar ftd. "FAN" vase remains in today;   It did not matter what angle or position I photographed this FENTON American beauty the CELESTE BLUE COLOR and satin STRETCH IRIDESCENCE is shown in my numerous photos taken..............after all its all about the COLOR and IRIDESCENCE front and back when buying stretch glass;   I want to mention that the finger feel is smooth to the touch on the outside of this "MELLON RIB" ftd. "FAN" vase, the inside finger feel touch has a sandy affect because of the stretch glass finish;   Many numerous table ware items were produced in this era of stretch glass along with the many numerous COLORS, often stretch glass has the Early American Pattern Glass characteristics of the EAPG glass making process having stretch marks, straw marks and some times air bubbles are seen inside the glass of EAPG, these characteristics I just mentioned to you are and can be seen inside the glass of this "MELLON RIB" #857 ftd.
