Monochromatic fashion Edwardian edition! This two piece felted wool walking suit is understated antique elegance. The rich brown bodice features tiny tassel accents and dramatic balloon sleeves. It’s a distinctly wearable piece that looks gorgeous worn open with trousers or jeans. The matching skirt has a cascading tulip shape (slightly longer in the back) with the same tiered detail at the hem as the jacket’s collar and yoke. Very good condition with a few minor flaws. Top has scattered indentations (please view third photograph) and a couple of small holes (last photograph). Gold silk lining and very clean interior. Unboned. “Seaman” written on inside collar. Fastens at front with hook and eye closures, all of which are original and intact. Wool has little stretch. Best fit likely sizes 4 and 6. Shoulder to shoulder is 16 inches, chest is 37 inches, and shoulder to hem is 18 inches.


Skirt is unlined. There is a smattering of small spots and one faded stain at front. Waist is reinforced, fastens with two hook and eye closures, and measures 26 inches. Waist to hem is 45 inches.
