You are bidding on a great 1950's Kodak Retina 1a (type 015) 35MM folding camera. It was made in Germany and is a very high quality camera with a Schneider Retina-Xenar f/3.5 50MM lens. It has been tested with film and works as designed. I have not tested a flash sync on the cold shoe.

It has a Synchro-Compur shutter with speeds from 1-500 and B. Aperture range is from f/3.5 to f/16. It is a zone focus camera with distances labeled on the focus ring from 3.5 feet to infinity.

Retina was the brand-name of a long-running series of German-built Kodak 35mm cameras, produced from 1934 until 1969. Kodak Retina cameras were manufactured in Stuttgart-Wangen by the Kodak AG Dr. Nagel Werk which Kodak had acquired in December 1931.

Retina cameras were noted for their compact size, high quality, and low cost compared to competitors. These cameras retain a strong following today, of both photographers and collectors.
