1954 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

For consignment ,we could just say it's a gas(ser!).  Yes, a 1954 modified version of the Corvette that has a front end that reaches for the clouds, and save for the obvious engine that crowds the hoodless area between those rounded quarters, retains pretty much its original charm.  But all it takes is a look and this is not your grandfather's Corvette from 1954...Shhhhh the secret is out!

Exterior
At the front of this cool classic, an aggressive grille inspired by Enzo Ferrari floats between screened Lucas headlights, stainless-trimmed parking lamps and jet-inspired wrap-around fender guards.  Between those fenders, a crisp header emblem leads the eye to curved wrap around glass, which is seated in polished stainless,  and capped by tan canvas.  Below that top, some black paint covers the fiberglass doors and all other body panels that have a snazzy stainless jet age tail winged trim spear and stylized "Chevrolet" scripts.  And at the back of the car a wonderful S curve creates the rear quarters and exaggerated C curved trunk between the S's. Polished exhaust tips poke through the rear valance, and just above jet-inspired taillights and shaved rear fender guards to exaggerate the beautiful S shaped quarters. 15-inch Radir Tri Rib wheels have tiny 5.60-15's in front and wildly large 10.00-15 rubber on for a pavement gripping adventure.

Interior
Stitched and contoured tan side panels in overstuffed format frame broad bucket bomber style seats that have been recovered and fit snugly into the matching curved rear cowl.  In the center, a black painted steel and chromed vertical glove box dives downward to the fire extinguisher on the hump.  In front of those seats, an elegant  dual eyebrow beige padded dash top, centers  an AM/FM/Cassette radio and a lineup of now SunPro gauges with wide chrome bezels in a black field.  Below that dash, sleek gold loop pile carpet floats color-keyed mats around a piston topped Hurst Indy shifter.  The driver spins a traditional black steering wheel around a polished horn ring that's finished with an intricate Corvette centerpiece.  A rear view oval mirror is perched atop the dash top.

Drivetrain
Within the open engine bay towering to the sky is a consigner stated 610hp jukebox.  It was built by Big Al's Toybox and it is a 355ci V8.  There is a steel crank, Eagle rods, a Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam, and holy hooks Batman, it has a supercharger!  The cylinder heads are ported and polished and it has a set of dual 4-barrel Edelbrock 750cfm carburetors under the scoop.  On the back is a TH400 3-speed automatic trans which is a Fastco built version.  On the back is a 3.76 Posi axle courtesy of a 1957 Corvette.  White ceramic coated headers snake their way from the engine's sides and exit stage left and right just aft of those tiny front wheels and tires.

Undercarriage
All clean and rust free with a straight axle is now in the front.  Leaf springs are on for the ride and drum brakes are all around.  Small glass pack style mufflers are at the ends of the headers.

Drive-Ability
Definitely Mr. Toad's wild ride and to put it simply this car is a definite ass kicker!  It sounded fab and still retained its charm and is really easy to drive.

Well friends, here's your chance to stop longing and start living!  Why not a 1954 Corvette gasser that is really an eye catcher and people magnet.  Truly a one of a kind example, a high end build and no fooling around.
