This is another extremely RARE , assumed antique 1960s or 70s, but unsure of exact age.  Yves Saint Laurent shoulder bag made of black leather, possibly with lizard skin. It has a magnetic snap closure and a tan YSL monogrammed lining. The bag is medium-sized and has a vintage Mid Century or Retro vibe / style.

Comes directly out of a YSL executives estate who was involved in prototypes and production, and she had sample items from decades past (many already sold).

Condition- overall nice but has a few issues. The exterior front at the bottom and a piece that could be glued down (very hard to notice, see photo with my finger). The lesther is on the stiffer side, needs a conditioning, the back of the purse has no lizard design and is just leather- so you see scuff marks and has a few indents. The strap is a bit stiff, and personally I would have it removed and redone to be made into a crossbody strap (thats me, you do as you please). The inside is very clean, except the small zippered compartment- inside is stained.

Has light rubbing marks on some edges, you could use a black sharpie or shoe polish to get it back to being black.

I have never come across a YSL bag this old, and my guess they are practically non existing. So grab this one, and with a little elbow grease you will have a one of a kind purse.

Sold as is not perfect. I cannot guarantee exact age or what type of leather skin it is, I can only tell you what it looks like to me. It is 100% real leather.
