Bought this about a decade ago from Western Costume Rental which has been in business for over 100 years. As far as I know this was the last of their giant sales, after that they started selling the costumes themselves online.

This would have been made somewhere between the 1930s in the 1950s, it is an actual movie costume with the original western costume rental sewn in, but I do not know when or if it was used in productions

Additionally the dress only has two fasteners in the back, at the top at the collar. There is more than enough room for you to add your own fasteners, I think it was made this way so that multiple people could fit into the costume.

I styled it with a blue 1950s slip underneath, which is also for sale separately, but you can style it with anything that you please depending on your preference for the look

This is all piece for any collector, that with a little love and attention could be worn to an event or photo shoot

Please Note- all items sold are vintage finds sourced from estate sales and thrift stores in the Hollywood area of Southern California.

As they are vintage items it is always a good plan to plan to have the items taken to your local green dry cleaner before wearing.
Some items may be wrinkled from storage.

I do my best to catalog any flaws I find in the description of the item.

I do not accept order cancellations for any reason other than I have not shipped the item in the time I promised

Your purchase helps me continue to fund my artistic work as a photographer in Hollywood California. It also helps me to feed my increasingly finicky cat who now only wants the most expensive cat food
