You are bidding on a very scarce, softcover copy of "Harley the Hypnotist,"  written by the infamous performer Walford Bodie, and previously owned by magician an historian, Jay Marshall.

Paperback copies of this book, published around 1910, appear to be rare than the hardcover editions, but both are extremely hard to find by the serious collector.

Published by C. Arthur Pearson, Ltd., London, only 8 copies are held by libraries worldwide, including the Library of Congress and the British Library.

224 pages and in fragile condition, this book features a color cover that looks like it was stolen from a publicity illustration of Howard Thurston. The original owner has written a comment on the title page. Please see photos above for a better idea.

Chips, fragile spine and loose last page. But an extremely uncommon item. Once part of Jay Marshall's legendary book collection and sold at auction in 2010.

One for the advanced collector and historian.

Shipping will be $6 via Priority Mail. Many thanks for looking and please take a look at my other auctions for other rare magic items and Walford Bodie material.
