This is the actual 1947 Royal Doulton Hand-Painted Porcelain Figurine "The Potter" HN1493. Backstamp confirms the time period. This is a rare real deal first produced The Potter Figure. There are not many of these out there. What you do find that is up for sale is the continuing production of the series due to popularity.

It was Designed by Renown Art Director Charles Noke and Painted by Artist Harry Simeon (H.S. off to the right)

The age and being an original that was designed and then created by Charles Noke the condition is excellent. No chips or cracks. Appears to look very close to how it was released jn 1947.

Again rare find.  You will find many Royal Doulton in many different series by many artist but finding one produced during original release is extraordinary.
