This auction is for a used Sony DSC-F828 in good condition.

The camera model was first released in the fall of 2003 and came with a few unique features, including a 4-color RGBE CCD sensor and a sliding IR/UV blocking filter for a special night-time mode. It has a 7x optical zoom lens and control over shutter speed, aperture, ISO, exposure, manual or auto-focus, white balance, and flash. Image capture can be saved in RAW format (but it does take a while because of the older and slower memory sticks).

The camera itself is decent, even by today's standards, but the best part of this camera is the sliding IR/UV blocking filter. A small neodymium magnet placed on the side of the zoom lens will pull the filter out of the way, letting a broader spectrum of light through to the sensor!

Filters can be screwed into the end of the zoom lens to make for some very interesting shots! I'm still getting used to it myself, but have included a few pictures from this camera in the listing. Some have a filter that allows only IR light (B&W photos), or a Yellow 12 filter (with and without the IR/UV blocking filter moved), and one with a UV/Blue/IR filter for capturing crop coverage from the air. Great starter for a younger photographer or anyone interested in trying out full-spectrum photography!

The listing includes the camera (with strap and lens cover), the original charging cable, a battery, and a 64 mb Memory Stick (not pictured). NOTE: I cannot seem to get the battery to take a charge, so a new one will likely be needed. There are replacements here on eBay with higher than original capacity and longer life for around $10.

Good luck and please message me with any questions or if you want additional pictures of the camera!
