Only a couple years short of being a bona fide antique, this American Individual Pictorial Puzzle 19C "Winter's Blanket" is one of the more difficult jigsaw puzzles we've completed for two reasons:

  1. the border interlocks but the rest of the pieces do not
  2. there was no image (picture) on the box to guide us.

After almost 100 years all of the pieces were still in the box! We had to complete the puzzle to make sure. As a little bonus I printed an image of the completed puzzle and will place it in the box, but for the full frustrating experience you should throw the picture away.

This puzzle part of a series of at least four puzzles:
  • 19A "Memories"
  • 19B unknown
  • 19C "Winter's Blanket"
  • 19D "Tiles of Normandy"

Pro Tip: do not attempt this puzzle on a slick surface like a tabletop. You will spend more time reassembling than assembling. The slightest touch may misalign everything you've completed. Hope you don't have cats.

I forgot to measure the puzzle when we completed it. At that point all I wanted to do was get it off the table. Somewhere around 14" x 20" or thereabouts. Since I am not a masochist, I will not put it together again to measure it.
