We are moving and downsizing.  With some sadness we have decided it is time to part with some our our most treasured and beautiful art nouveau pieces.  From our personal collection we are pleased to offer this statue of a dancer in a green dress by the famed French Art Nouveau Artist and Sculptor, Claude Bonnefond.  This is one of a pair of these statues we have (see second last photo).  The other, listed separately, is the same casting but the dancer is in a gold dress.

The dancer in the statues is almost certainly the American dancer, Loie Fuller, who conquered Paris on her opening night at the Folies Bergere on November 5, 1892 and featured in a number of other pieces by Claude Bonnefond.

The statue is signed on the base "C. Bonnefond."  The signature on the greed dressed dancer is a little harder to make out than the one on the gold statue but it is clearly that of Bonnefond.

There is a little loss of the color on a few places (see photos) but the statue is in generally excellent condition with crisp detail.

The statue is 16" from base to top of left hand.

We believe we have the pieces in our collection fairly priced for collectors given the rarity and condition of most of them  We tend not to make offers to watchers but almost all of our pieces have a best offer option.  We do welcome fair offers.  If you are interested we do encourage you make an offer.

The photos form part of the description so please look at them carefully.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you might have before purchasing.
