On offer from our personal collection is this fabulous very large WMF Art Nouveau Silverplate Wall Plaque. All the detail is in high relief and well defined.

Made by "WMF", "Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik" in Germany circa 1900- Illustrated in the 1906 Catalogue. Page 313 Model Number 294A (see photos).  This plate has the model number stamped on back.

Dimensions:  16” diameter across widest part.

The plate, has lost quite a lot plating from the front though the center is still quite bright.  It also has some small bending on edge, easily straightened.

This is one of a pair of plates designed to be hung facing each other.  Because of the difference in the amount of plating left on the two plates we have decided to sell them separately so a buyer can make an assessment of the cost to get the more worn one re-plated.  This would restore the more worn one to near original condition as there is little loss to the detail

As many of you know we were long ago sellers here on eBay of Art Nouveau/Deco Glass, Pottery, Metals decorative objects. When we stopped selling, now ten years ago, we kept a private collection of both iconic and rare pieces. We have made the decision to downsize and make an international move, therefore, we are divesting ourselves of our collection as well as furniture though eBay and other auction and selling venues. These items listed will be here on eBay the next 60 to 90 days anything not sold will go to reputable auction in NYC as we will no longer have a house to store these items. This is a rare opportunity to own some rare and iconic pieces, please see our full listing.
